Our Kindergarten Program is a half-day program in KG1 and a full day program in KG2. The Kindergarten Program is a child-centered program in which the individual needs, abilities, and interests of the child are met.
From Grade 1 - Grade 5 students at Hasis follow the CIE, Cambridge Primary Curriculum, for English, Mathematics and Science which is an addition to the Oman Ministry of Education Curriculum for all Arabic subjects.
From Grade 6 – Grade 12 students are exposed to a variety of new learning tools to prepare them to become independent thinkers, to understand and question the cause of things. The CIE Cambridge Secondary Program ensures that our students effectively apply knowledge, skills and abilities in each subject.
HASIS Curriculum Framework
As a private, international co-educational institution, owned by OmanLNG, Hasis follows a hybrid curriculum with elements taken from the National Curriculum of England and Wales, the IPC and IMYW from Fieldwork education and the curricular set by Cambridge Assessment International Education for IGCSE for all students.
The programme of education at Hay Al-Sharooq International School is varied. In addition to the normal range of subjects taught in most UK independent Schools, the school also offers lessons in the Arabic language (for both first and second-language speakers), together with Islamic and Social studies for Omani students and the thematic and investigative Hasis International curriculum for expatriate children. All core subjects are taught in English, with support from multi-lingual teaching assistants. In the senior phase, students are prepared to sit the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations at the end of Grade Ten as provided by Cambridge Assessment International Education, and the GED as provided by the Omani Ministry of Education at the end of Grade Twelve. The provision of purposed build facilities and resources in academic, creative and performing subjects with teaching via the medium of English provides the students of Hasis with the potential to access university education in the UK, USA and the rest of the world.
