Our Curriculum

As a private, international co-educational institution, owned by Oman Development Foundation (ODF), HASIS implements both the Oman National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Teaching and learning at Hay Al-Sharooq International School is aligned with an overall school curriculum map that has been developed to guide and clear progression of learning from KG to Grade 12 in the Omani and Cambridge curriculums.

All core subjects are taught in English, with support from multi-lingual teaching assistants. In the senior phase, students are prepared to sit the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations at the end of Grade Ten as provided by Cambridge Assessment International Education, and the GED as provided by the Omani Ministry of Education at the end of Grade Twelve. The provision of purposed build facilities and resources in academic, creative and performing subjects with teaching via the medium of English provides the students of HASIS with the potential to access university education in the UK, USA and the rest of the world.
