Primary Learning Environment
At HASIS, our primary camps consists of Grades 1 to 6 where the students follow a programme in both Arabic and English designed to build a secure foundation for their learning throughout the school and beyond. Student's have access to well-resourced classrooms including specialist Art, ICT and Music rooms as well as a state-of-the-art sports hall and astro turf.
Our learning environment is carefully prepared and supports Student's development. We recognise that children learn through interaction with their environment and the people around them. We provide Student's with the support of trusted adults, who actively engage with them and are interested in their learning.
Primary Curriculum
Our school follows the Primary Cambridge Curriculum and Omani National education programme, offering a seamless learning journey that ensures continuity and progression across each stage of development.
The Cambridge framework is designed to nurture essential skills while inspiring a passion for learning as well as accommodating the cultural diversity of the HASIS school community. With a structured yet flexible approach, we provide the support necessary for every student to reach their full potential, all while enjoying their educational experience. The curriculum aligns with HASIS’ vision, empowering students to build confidence, think critically, and excel both academically and personally.
HASIS Subjects:
At HASIS we offer a primary curriculum that is based on the Omani and Cambridge International Curriculum.
In grades 1 to 4, students are taught by a dedicated English-speaking homeroom teacher, who covers all subjects taught in English, alongside specialist Arabic teachers for Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies/Citizenship. Omani Teacher Assistants support our Grades 1 – 3 primary classes.
In grades 5 and 6, students are taught by different primary subject specialists to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning across all areas. This approach ensures student progress and a smooth transition into secondary school with greater academic independence and a deeper understanding of each subject.
Students in grades 1 to 6 also benefit from lessons with specialist teachers in ICT, Music, Art & Design, and PE, enriching their overall educational experience.
